The original are two pieces of 70cm by 50cm.

Recently I got a commision to create a T-Shirt design for the 45th Anniversary of Jazzcafe "De Muze" in Antwerp.

I have always been in love with paintings of Caravaggio and drawings of Mike Mignola. Because they are masters of contrast to me. The way they play with light and shadow has always inspired me in my own drawings. In some of these drawings you can see their direct influence.

"Darkness" got selected for the International Short filmfestival Leuven.
It's a Belgian filmfestival annually organized.

"Darkness" got selected for "Het Grote Ongeduld", a filmfestival organized by
VUB University of Brussels annually organized.

Also my movie got it's first revieuw, this review is in dutch so apologies to none dutch speaking people.

Somehow I've allways written "poetry". And I use the noun poetry loosely for what I'm writing. I'm just having some fun with words.
Poetic self-indulgence so in that mood I try to make a couple of drawings involving myself as the main character. Got a couple in the back of my head which I'll post as soon as possible.

Hi once again,

Update on the animation movies. As you might have noticed two new ones are currently up. One is about the 50th aniversary of Expo in Brussels. It's more of a promotional film. The other one is the rough version of my animatic. Soon to be more elaborate.

Again time hasn't been on my side done some work for the Fashion Academy in Antwerp that job is completed now back to my work. Soon I'll upload some new stuff still got plenty that needs to be scanned.

Motives

Hey,

After some time I finally got the hang of that pen (explained in caricatures message). The idea is that I'm going to animate with a pen this year, because I'm starting to adore the visual style I'm creating with it.

This Gallery is called Motives. The reason behind it might be clear at first glance. I started to get inspired by two people one being Gustav Klimt, the other Nicolas De Crècy. Klimt is an expressionist painter from the early 20th century. De Crècy is a comic book artist inspired in one way or the other by Klimt. So after submerging myself into their work I started creating some of my own. I like these a lot, my wallet didn't because I bought waaaaay too much books.
The drawings have nothing to do with the movie short I'm creating at the moment.

Caricatures

After ages I finally made some time again to upload some new stuff. I'm currently in an overload of work, it happens, and I'll get through eventually. I'm working on a new movie, and I also made a promotional for Expo '58, that combined with a couple of other side projects and my time vanished like snow on a sunny day.

Ok this gallery is called Caricatures. These I drew while filtering myself away in a bar. Technique used her is a black pen from the brand bic. It was more like a study with that pen, then it was about the people. But I think some became reasonable drawings.

As everyone seems to have a blog spot these days, I tought it might just be time to make one myself. The Idea is to share mainly drawings of mine, sketches drawn here and there.
